PARTICIPATE IN LM ERICSSON PHOTO CLUB´S MASTERSHIP 2024
Here follows the invitation and information regarding participation in the photo club´s annual Master Ship competition (KM 2024).
We compete in 3 different sections as usual: colour, black and white and collection.
1 Colour with max. 3 pictures – no specific theme 2 Black and white or ”” with max. 3 pictures – no specific theme 3 Collection – one (1) set including 3 – 5 pictures with a common imagery (bildspråk). See https://foto.moderskeppet.se/resurs/vad-ar-en-fotokollektion/ This means that you can submit max. 11 pictures in total.
RULES: We compete in photography, which implies pictures generated by a light sensitive media i.e. film (including digitalized /scanned film) or digital sensor. Editing in SW like Photoshop, Lightroom etc is permitted and encouraged – NOTE adding/generating key elements with AI technology is NOT permitted Pictures can only participate once in the mastership – we prefer that the pictures are taken during 2024 All pictures should be delivered in JPG format with the longest side of 1920 pixels and not larger than 2 Mb All pictures should be named with SECTION (colour), NUMBER and your NAME e.g. colour_1_Cristianlintrup.jpg Submission to utstallning@erifk.se Latest submission date is January 25th 2025 An external jury will work out the result and the outcome will be presented in our meeting in March 2025. Prizes for winners of respective section as usual.

PHOTOGRAFER ÅKE ERIKSSON Born in Västerås, Sweden. He had his first picture published when he 14 years old and started working as a photographer at the age of 16. After 12 years at various local newspapers in Sweden, he worked at Scandinavia’s largest newspaper, Aftonbladet, where he worked for 10 years. Since 2000 he has been working as a freelance photojournalist. He has been working and travelling in many countries such as Russia, The Balkans, the Czech Republic, France, Slovakia and especially in the Kosovo region. He is affiliated with Redux Pictures in New York and his photography has been published in Time, CNN, The New Yorker, Paris Match, Le Figaro, Stern, Telerama and Le Monde.
On Thursday 13 of June, we will run the annual Mini photo marathon, a small, relaxed competition including four (4) defined themes to be covered. The meeting point is atDjurgårdskyrkan (close to Gröna Lund) at 17:00 P.M. The competition area is Djurgårdsstaden including Beckholmen. Participants will get a map over the area that can be covered in the competition.
We plan to close at 20:30 at latest, but participants can continue or be ready outside this time limit of course.
Rules: Each theme is to be represented by ONE (1) single photograph; this means that you can submit four (4) photographs in total. However, you can also choose to pick ONE of the four themes as a collection and submit 3 – 5 photographs of that selected theme as a collection. In this case you can participate with up to 8 (3 + 5) photographs.
The photographs must be in JPG format and not be bigger in size than 2 MB.
The photographs should be submitted by mail to utstallning@erik.se not later than one week after the competition date.
The outcome will be presented after the summer leave in one of the club´s meetings.
